Manny Harris Plans to Return for Senior Season Right Now

Although yesterday’s game against Northwestern was beyond disappointing, Michigan got some seemingly great news after from Manny Harris.

“You know, you want to get better as a person, as a player,” Harris said after the game. “A lot of these guys have to come back, like myself, got to come back and play next year. “Just got to keep fighting and work hard. The season (isn’t) over. Anything still can happen so we’ve still got to believe and fight hard.”

Harris was asked if he was confident returning to Michigan would be his final decision.

“Yeah, yeah,” said Harris, who entered the Northwestern game averaging a Big Ten-best 19.1 points.

I like that Harris feels that way right now, but he did go on to say that he isn’t thinking about the future, but rather the team getting better.  Remember, Donovan Warren said he was coming back right after the Ohio State game, and he ended up going pro.  It’s only the start of February, so there is plenty of time for things to change.  Then again, if Harris’ stock keeps dropping, the decision to return for another season may not be too tough to make after all.

UPDATE: Based on Harris’ status on Facebook last night, I would take his comments with a grain of salt.  Like I said, it’s only February, so plenty could change in the next few months.
