Wednesday Quick Hits: Mitera Returns to Full Contact Practice
- Mark Mitera returned to full contact practice on Tuesday, but he isn’t going to play this weekend against Ohio State. His status for Senior Night (February 28) is still in question, as it will take Mitera some time to get adjusted to practice, let alone an actual game.
- Remember when Marlin Jackson was involved in a fight back before the 2003 season? Well, the person who was injured by Jackson is suing him and wants $10 million. Jackson filed a countersuit and was in Ann Arbor on Tuesday since jury selection for the civil suit against him was scheduled to begin.
- Even though Beaver Stadium eclipsed Michigan Stadium in capacity last season, Michigan still had a higher average attendance than Penn State in 2008.
- Speaking of Michigan Stadium, the renovation is on schedule and will probably end up costing more than $226 million (the original number), according to Bill Martin.
- The Fab Five is going to reunite at the Motor City Casino on April 4 as part of Final Four festivities.
- Michigan pitcher Chris Fetter was named to the Golden Spikes Award Watch List.
