William Campbell Recommits to Michigan
Detroit Cass Tech defensive tackle William Campbell recommitted to Michigan moments ago at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. He picked Michigan over LSU and Miami, even though U-M was supposedly eliminated almost a week ago. Campbell committed to Michigan for the first time in the summer of 2007 and decommitted this past September. Most people still predicted that he would end up coming to Michigan when all was said and done, and that’s exactly what happened.
Campbell will be coming to Ann Arbor next week since he is enrolling early. He will join six other commits that are also enrolling early, meaning one-third of Michigan’s recruiting class will officially be Wolverines in a few days. That leaves 14 other commits that won’t officially join Michigan until signing day about a month from now.
Two of those players are defensive tackles Pearlie Graves and DeQuinta Jones, who are commits as of right now. Graves seems more solid than Jones, but there have been rumors about both possibly decommitting. I mention this only because Michigan can afford to lose one with Campbell back in the fold. Obviously Michigan would like to end up with three DTs on signing day, but losing one wouldn’t be all that detrimental to the ’09 class.

This is obviously good news for Michigan. Maybe Mr. Campbell can talk to Taj Boyd on the sideline about joining as well.
Mr. Campbell…meet Mike Barwis!
Taj Boyd is pretty cool with Bryce McNeal , and Kevin Newsome and i believe they must of posion him on Michigan. We run an offense perfect for him, but he has’nt considered us.
he has even took an official to Ohio State where he know he would sit!
any ways can u say BIG WILL
This is just the start of a good thing. This class is a great one and the scare of current players leaving really never happened. It was a bad year but I think by this time next year we will all be saying that it was worth it.
Go blue, I just hope we get one more QB prospect. We really have to sew up that position and cant put it all on Forcier.
I would like to take a closer look at Denard Robinson! The television said Boyd has a partially torn ACL. Could that mean he would have to sit out a year?
Happy New Year everyone. You Know I’m watching the under armor game and see that I. Bell just broke up a pass at the goal line in front of the rcvr. and all i heard about was ray ray armstrong, who was behind the rcvr…..what a bunch of BS.
I like the class we’re bringing in, keep building depth at all pos. including QB.
The players I’ve seen in the two all star games look good and made plays.
Go Blue 2009 will be fine !!!!
Mick
Same with Craig Roh every time he made a play espn would comment on the player that assisted on the tackle. Bottom line they were jocking any recruit going to USC, or the SEC.
