  • Reminder: Michigan plays at Ohio State at 6:30 p.m. ET tonight. The game will be on the BTN.
  • Steve Kampfer didn’t practice on Tuesday since doctors had not approved him to get on the ice. Hopefully he will be approved today, allowing him to practice and subsequently play against Notre Dame in a huge series this weekend.
  • Apparently University of Michigan police are going to review the incident involving Kampfer on Saturday to determine whether or not a further investigation is necessary. I highly doubt this goes anywhere, as it is tough to press charges for something that happened during a hockey game. Even so, there’s no doubt that Corey Tropp’s two slashes at Kampfer’s head and neck are about as close to assault on the ice as you can get. In 2000, an NHL player was actually convicted of assault with a deadly weapon after he hit an opponent in the head with his stick. Charges, though unlikely, are possible, I suppose.
  • Signing day is only one week away.
  • Speaking of recruiting, quarterback Tajh Boyd committed to Clemson over Ohio State and Oregon on Tuesday. This means that OSU will be looking for a QB in 2010, meaning Inkster’s Devin Gardner should be getting an offer from the Buckeyes sometime very soon. Gardner was actually at the Michigan-Northwestern basketball game on Saturday, and I believe he visited Columbus on Sunday.
  • Another 2010 quarterback, Robert Bolden from Orchard Lake Saint Mary’s, was offered by Michigan on Tuesday (there is premium story titled “Two More BCS Offers for Bolden” and his profile now shows that Michigan has offered).
  • Desmond Howard is going to be the emcee for Mock Rock next Tuesday.
  • Someone on Rivals posted some new aerial pictures of Michigan Stadium. (HT: MGoBlog)
  • Former Michigan defensive tackles Alan Branch and Gabe Watson showed off their dancing skills at Super Bowl media day on Tuesday.
