Steven Threet "Very, Very Questionable" for Saturday

Is there any way that Michigan can just forfeit the Minnesota game and start worrying about Northwestern instead? I ask that because there’s no point to even play the game if Steven Threet doesn’t start at quarterback for Michigan. Considering the effects of a concussion are still lingering and he hasn’t practiced all week, Threet’s status is very much in question for this Saturday.

Michigan quarterback Steven Threet is “very, very questionable” for Saturday’s game at Minnesota, according to coach Rich Rodriguez.

Threet suffered a concussion in the fourth quarter at Purdue, but the effects weren’t clear until after the game.

Rodriguez said before today’s practice that the headaches usually associated with similar concussions go away after a day or two, but Threet’s have remained. He has not practiced all week.

If Threet is unable to play, he will be replaced by Nick Sheridan. Justin Feagin has moved back to quarterback this week and would back up Sheridan. Like I said before, there really is no point to even play the game if Sheridan or Feagin is Michigan’s QB. Threet may not be that great of a quarterback, but he a million times better than anyone else currently on Michigan’s roster.

Does anybody know anything about David Cone? I understand his physical size is similar to Ryan Mallett so I’m assuming the guy can’t run at all, but what I can’t figure out is why I haven’t once seen his name mentioned as getting some snaps at QB. He sends in signals from the sidelines every week so I know he dresses. His HS numbers are pretty amazing. Why does nobody ever talk about this mystery man?

He played in a option based offense in high school and wasn’t rated highly so i dunno..he passed for a 1000 yards and 8-3 td-int his senior year!! But yeah i get what you are saying…some think he is not up to it…who knows man!!

Consider this…as bad as Threet is, he’s far better than Sheridan. Sheridan is “better” than everyone else, i.e, Cone and Feagin who are off the charts…that’s how bad things are at QB this year.

Don Shula in his prime could not get this team to 6 wins. The O line is young, the QB’s could not make the 3 deep at most other D1 schools, and the D stinks. I have faith RR will get the O in order but I have to admit I have questions about his D philosophy.
This year is no fun but everyone must realize the program was in bad shape by the time Carr called it quits. Let’s not forget the annual beatings we were taking from the national powers the last few years…USC, OSU, Oregon.
