John Beilein picked up his third verbal of the 2009 recruiting class yesterday when Matt Vogrich committed to Michigan. Vogrich is a shooting guard from Lake Forest, Illinois, and has a very impressive offer list. Notre Dame, Stanford, UCLA, and Wake Forest are just some of the schools that offered him a scholarship. Scout gives him four stars and ranks him as the 19th best SG in the ’09 class. Rivals only gives Vogrich three stars, but they do have him ranked as the nation’s 131st best player.

Vogrich joins Detroit’s Jordan Morgan and Los Angeles’ Darius Morris as members of the ’09 class. It is expected that Michigan will take one more recruit for 2009 and then focus its attention fully on the 2010 class. Beilein has already done a great job of recruiting for 2010 and has gotten a number of big recruits on campus during the football season. Hopefully a solid basketball season will prompt one of them to commit to get the ball rolling for 2010.
