  • It sounds like Zach Putnam and Jason Christian are ready to join their new MLB organizations (Cleveland and Oakland, respectively). Both will soon begin talking about contracts with their new teams, and I would be pretty surprised if either of them returned to Michigan for their senior seasons.
  • On the second day of the MLB Draft, third baseman Adam Abraham and first baseman Nate Recknagel were also picked by the Cleveland Indians. Pitcher Michael Powers was selected by the New York Mets, and an incoming freshman catcher was also drafted by the Oakland Athletics.
  • Class of ’09 quarterback Tate Forcier was in Ann Arbor this past weekend. (Link goes to a premium article)
  • As I mentioned on Friday, Mike Barwis went on WTKA last week and talked about a variety of subjects. If you haven’t already listened to the interview or want to hear Barwis again, there are now three different videos of it.
  • Brandon Graham interview:

  • Rich Rodriguez is showing off a new t-shirt with the phrase “Wolverine Family” on it.
  • There is a new video up on MGoBlue of an interview with Michigan’s new defensive coordinator, Scott Shafer.
  • If approved, proposed rule changes to college hockey would make the sport more like the NHL in many ways.
