Kevin Porter Wins Hobey Baker Award

By · Friday, April 11, 2008 · 8:36 PM |  Share | 2 Comments

Michigan senior Kevin Porter won the 2008 Hobey Baker Award, which goes to college hockey’s best player. Porter is only the second Michigan player to win the award as Brendan Morrison was the first Wolverine to take it home in 1997.

Congratulations to Kevin on winning college hockey’s Heisman Trophy. He is very deserving of this honor.

I think they should just get rid of the hobey baker part and make the official name “The Heisman of College Hockey”.

No offense, but that is a really dumb thing to say, unless you don’t know the history of the awards that is. It would make zero sense.
