Little Did I Know
Way back when John Beilein was hired as the basketball coach, I had a few bitter West Virginia fans make their way over to this blog. Being that they were upset since their coach was gone, one made a comment that included some haterade in the direction of Michigan football. Although I can’t disagree that our football team is “slow,” I still didn’t like the fact that he bashed the football team, so I responded with this now-prophetic statement.
And don’t be bashing our football team. There’s a possibility we may be coming back to Morgantown when Lloyd retires to find a new coach. Not saying it will happen but there’s always the chance.
I guess I was right, there’s always the chance. As much as I’d like to say I saw it coming, the fact that Rich Rodriguez will be introduced as the next Michigan head coach is shocking to me. Considering he was born and raised in West Virginia and is an alumnus of WVU, I don’t understand how Michigan got him to leave, especially after Alabama couldn’t last year. Either way, I’m sure glad we did as the one thing that has always killed Michigan’s defense is now going to be its offense.
Michigan football, welcome to the 21st century.
