Cameron Denies Any Interest in Michigan Job

From the Palm Beach Post:

Although his denials haven’t reached Nick Saban proportions, Dolphins coach Cam Cameron said again Monday that he isn’t interested in the University of Michigan vacancy.

“I’ve always been a guy that plants both feet where he is,” Cameron said.

“I don’t know how to do it any other way. You put your feet right where you are. You zero in on doing everything you can to help the Miami Dolphins. I think I addressed that once before, so to me it’s a non-issue.” Cameron last month said, “This is the place where I am, and I’m committed to getting this place turned around. Period.” Cameron, 46, got his coaching break under Michigan coach Bo Schembechler. Cameron spent 10 years with the Wolverines, finishing as Gary Moeller’s quarterbacks and receivers coach in 1993 before joining the Washington Redskins.

No disrespect intended, but the above is good news. Cameron, as I already said yesterday, is a great coordinator. He’s just not a very good head coach, and with that in mind, he needs to stay far away from Ann Arbor unless he is coming as an assistant.

Cameron sure turned the Dolphins around though!! He is making NFL history!! He would be a perfect fit for the Lions!

this guy has never won as a head coach. Look at what he did at Indiana. They couldn’t get rid of him fast enough.
