Mike Hart Hits Cover of S.I.

For this year’s Sports Illustrated college football preview, the magazine is putting running backs on all of its regional covers. There are five different covers out there, and the specific one you receive depends on where you live. If you happen to be in the Midwest or East (not exactly sure how S.I. determines that), you will get to see Michigan’s own Mike Hart (click picture to enlarge).

Speaking of college football previews, I’ve finally got around to finishing mine. I plan on getting it started tomorrow since the season is just two weeks away. I’ll probably start of with my preseason top 25 and then work through each conference before finally ending it with some bowl projections, so make sure to watch for that in the coming days.

go figger… the USC Trojans get 3 RBs on the cover, all in various Heisman-esque poses. everyone else just looks like they’re running. personally, i would’ve gone with oregon’s jonathan stewart for the west coast cover. he’s, you know, actually played and stuff.

As soon as i saw that thing in my mail box I got excited, and then nervous. Does the SI cover curse matter, given there are 5 different ones floating around…me hopes so.
