Let’s Talk Recruiting
Over the next few weeks, we will see more than a few Michigan prospects make their college decision. The biggest and most recognizable name out of all the players is Sam McGuffie. McGuffie is one of the best running backs out there this year and can definitely get you on your feet. Just watch that YouTube video a few times and you’ll be hoping he chooses the Maize and Blue.
The actual date for his announcement was originally planned to be this coming Sunday on the same TV show that Darryl Stonum made his decision on a week or so ago. Plans changed though as the hosts are apparently on vacation, meaning that McGuffie will have to wait until what some are saying as July 22 until announcing. Also, there have been a lot of rumblings recently about McGuffie having some interest in Texas A&M, but don’t start panicking about it. There really isn’t much to worry about there.
Aside from Sam McGuffie, four or so other players will be visiting Ann Arbor in the next week and soon after may make a decision. For a few of those players, the decision will be between Michigan and Ohio State. Last month, Michigan seemed to lose out to Notre Dame a few times in the so-called recruiting battles, and now, U-M takes on the Buckeyes in July. Stay tuned for any commitments in the recruiting world.

Unfortunately, the players who have to choose between OSU and UM will most likely pick OSU. OSU has the mojo right now and a head coach that excite players. I don’t think many players get excited when they hear Carr’s name.
I hope I am wrong.
