  • Jerry Dunn has officially been hired as the associate head coach. This completes John Beilein’s coaching staff and does it by adding expereince and familiarity. Dunn was an assistant at West Virginia the last four seasons and before that was at Penn State.
  • Lloyd Carr has been in Australia for the past week as a guest of actor Russell Crowe. Carr spent his time watching Crowe’s rugby team. The unusual friendship comes after Carr used “Cinderella Man” as inspiration this past season and Crowe, who starred in the movie, called him up to invite him to Australia.
  • Joe Trapani, a transfer from Vermont, decided to stay close to home and will attend Boston College. Michigan was in the running for Trapani and he even visited Ann Arbor, but in the end, decided on BC.
  • Jim Harbaugh still hasn’t closed his big mouth. I loved him as a player, but he really needs to just shut up already.
  • Braylon Edwards continues to show his charitable side.
  • Class of 2008 7-footer Ben Cronin is going to announce where he will play his college ball later today. Cronin is down to Michigan, Syracuse, and Buffalo. The favorite is Syracuse since he is from that area, but I wouldn’t be shocked if he decided on Michigan.
