Welcome to Ann Arbor, Coach Beilein
The University of Michigan men’s basketball team has a new coach. After over two weeks of speculation, the search has ended as John Beilein is now Michigan’s new coach. I can tell you that I’m just glad the search is over as it has been tiring to hear one rumor and then another that changes our thinking entirely.
Per CBS SportsLine…
West Virginia coach John Beilein has accepted an offer to become Michigan’s next coach, CBS SportsLine.com learned Monday night from a source close to the situation. A news conference is expected in the next 48 hours.
…and FOX Sports, Beilein to Michigan is official.
West Virginia coach John Beilein is finally leaving Morgantown — for Michigan.
Beilein, 54, who is coming off an NIT title earlier this week, has accepted the Michigan job, according to sources close to the situation, and will be introduced at a Wednesday press conference.
I’m sure we’ll see more official confirmation from those close to the situation very soon.
