Official Pairings Out Soon
As most of you should know by now, everything seems to be pointing in Florida’s direction for the nod to the BCS National Championship Game against the Buckeyes. Although it isn’t official yet, I think it’s safe to say the Gators are going to Glendale. If this is the case I’ll rant about it tomorrow as the pain from this has already ruined today. But, it’s looking like the Urban Meyer complaining tactic worked out in the end.
All I can say right now is that this year is more evidence that some type of playoff needs to be established in the future. The BCS has failed because there has been controversy in more than half of the year’s since its creation. Those kind of stats prove that changes are needed, whether it is Michigan or Florida.
I’m off to watch the FOX Selection Show right now and am prepared for the inevitable that has been floating around all day. Michigan truly would need a miracle in order to end up in Glendale.
UPDATE: The Harris Poll is out and all I can say is that it’s a complete fraud. Someone gave Florida a first-place vote over OSU, and that is what determines the championship game. A complete and total embarrassment.
UPDATE II: Official standings are out and Michigan missed #2 by .01. What a joke.
